Proposition 65 Warnings

The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, a California law commonly referred to as ‘Proposition 65’, is administered by Cal/EPA’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA). It requires companies to label products known or intended to expose any individual to a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity, unless exempt.

Shaxon Industries, Inc. implemented processes for Proposition 65 compliance with Office of Administrative Law amendments to Article 6, Clear and Reasonable Warnings, of the California Code of Regulations going into effect on August 30, 2018. Our operations team is applying updated warnings to existing products and packaging in all sales channels for products we manufacture.

Shaxon Industries, Inc. is committed to providing high quality, safe products to all its customers and consumers. Many products manufactured and distributed by Shaxon Industries, Inc. do not contain chemicals more than the Safe Harbor exposure levels, however they will be labeled for consumers to make informed purchasing decisions. Where there is potential chemical risk, additional product analysis is performed and reviewed prior to commitment of production and inventory within our supply chain.
